An offset lithograph on paper titled Thy Kingdom Come from the Pater Noster series after well-listed artist Salvador Dalí (1904–1989), originally published in 1964. The series illustrates the Christian prayer “Our Father” through a series of prints. The piece is signed and dated in plate to the lower left corner. Under a single layer of fabric mat with a gilt fillet, the item is presented under acrylic glass in a fluted cove frame. Hanging hardware is present to the verso.
Dalí was born in Figueres, Spain to Salvador Dalí y Cusi, a lawyer and notary, and Felipa Domenech Ferres. His mother encouraged his artistic pursuits a eccentricities. In 1922 Dalí enrolled at the Academia de San Fernando in Madrid, Spain. It was during this time that he went to Paris started interacting with Picasso, Magritte, and Miro leading to his first Surrealist phase. Dalí is best known for his Surrealist painting, drawing, photography, and sculptures. His works are housed in many private collections and museums across the globe.
