Hand-Knotted Persian Serebend Carpet Runner

A Persian Serebend carpet runner. This woolen village rug is hand-knotted in a palette of pale strawberry, rose, cream, navy blue, grey, and violet. Its strawberry colored field is filled with small boteh in navy blue framed by sawtooth and barber pole borders in alternating colors. The Serebend compound border is grounded in ivory. The rug finishes with overcast selvedges and short wool warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
