A hand-knotted Persian Kashan area rug. This wool carpet is hand-knotted in a palette of rich ruby, light blue, moss green, navy, orange , white, goldenrod, and brown. It has a diamond shaped central medallion with pendants to either end and the oval shaped lozenge is patterned with curvilinear floral branches. It is framed with a herati motif main border and carnation meander guard borders. Finished with overcast selvedges and short cotton fringe to either end. Unlabeled.
