G&L L-1000 Electric Bass Guitar and Case

A G&L L-1000 electric bass guitar with a Fender hardshell case. This guitar, circa 1980s, features a black high-polish double-cut body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard with perloid dot inlays, bass humbucker pickup, a three-way pickup selector switch, and volume and tone control knobs. The bass is marked on the headstock ‘G&L L1000 Bass Made In U.S.A. Pat. Pend. Fullerton C.A.’ The maker’s logo and a serial number, which appears to read ‘B016I49’ or similar, are debossed on a plate screwed into the back side. Below the serial number, a gold-tone foil label reads ‘G&L Musical Products Co. All products are designed and manufactured by Leo Fender Pat 4002994 4046050 and others No. 256804 431950 3678795’. The bass is presented in a black rectangular Fender hardshell case with red velveteen lining.

- case has significant dings and scuffing to outside and silver tape around the handle; wear to lining inside case; minor dust and wear to guitar finish; untested.
