Item Details
An oil painting of a young man and accordion on canvas board by an artist appearing to sign the piece ‘Pestow,’ possibly listed artist Frances Pestow (1908-1983). This piece depicts a bespectacled figure sitting with an enormous instrument splayed across his lap, his chair leaning slightly back to give an impression of imbalance. The painting is signed loosely in ink to its lower right corner and is mounted in a wooden frame with a gold tone fillet and a wire for hanging to its verso.

- moderate discoloration to image; mild craquelure to image surface; light wear to image surface; minor wear to frame.
