Red Railroad Lanterns
Item Details
A pair of red railroad lanterns. Each lantern features metal construction with a red painted finish, swing handles, and round glass globes. The shorter lantern has the Dietz label impressed to the top with ‘Dietz Comet’ and ‘Made in United States of America’ in relief to the globe and to the base. The taller lantern is stamped ‘General Nier Feuerhand’ to the top, with ‘175, W. Germany, Super Baby, Feuerhand’ to the base, and the Feuerhand logo to the glass.
Condition
- both show tarnish to metal throughout; rust to some metal pieces; German lantern has holes from rust to the top; neither lantern tested.
