Talwar Sword with Red Velvet Scabbard
Item Details
A talwar curved sword with red velvet scabbard. This piece features a curved, single-edged sword with a false edge and floral etching along the blade; the brass hilt features a disc-shaped pommel and thin knuckleguard. The piece is featured in a red velvet scabbard with a brass throat, suspension brace, and chape. A maker’s mark to the ricasso reads ‘Made In’ with the remainder obscured by the rainguard.
Condition
- some tarnish and scratches to blade; tarnish to metal on scabbard; some staining to velvet; missing one suspension ring.
