An oil painting on Masonite of a wooded landscape by Indiana artist Joe Shell. This painting features painterly brushwork and is rendered in a palette of brown, white, blue, and orange hues. The painting depicts a snowy, winter scene and bare trees scattered throughout an isolated landscape. It is signed and dated ‘’83’ by hand to the lower left corner. It is presented in a blue and silver tone wooden frame with a beige fabric liner. To the verso is a metal hanging wire and a pen notation specifying the artist.
