A wood engraving on paper by listed German-born artist Fritz Eichenberg (1901-1990) titled The Unparalleled Adventure of One Hans Phall. This piece depicts a morose figure peering out over the basket of a hot air balloon, his gaze cast out toward a crowd of smoking men. This detailed piece is presented unsigned, and is matted under glass in a black frame with a wire for hanging to its verso. There is a pen notation to its verso bearing the title and the artist’s name.
