An oil painting on canvas. This 20th century work depicts a landscape of a shack near the edge of a river with rowboats on the shore and workers chopping wood by the wooden structure. The paint is applied in large strokes that blend together. It is signed to the lower left in paint and appears to read ‘Gress’. This piece is presented in a gold tone wood frame with a linen liner and gold tone sight edge, and it has wire to the verso for hanging.
