Antique Furnivals "Cashmere" Pitcher, Basin, and Shaving Set
Item Details
An antique Furnivals Cashmere pitcher, basin, and shaving set. The creamware pitcher features a flared rim, loop handle, and rounded body with a transferred Asian inspired floral motif throughout. It is paired with a matching basin with deep sides and stout pedestal base. The pitcher is impressed ‘Bd 5568’ to the verso, and the basin is marked with ‘12’ and an illegible maker’s mark. Also included is a shaving mug, a cup, a small jug and a covered soap dish with removable strainer. The cups is marked, ‘Cashmere’ to the underside and was likely manufactured by Furnivals in the mid nineteenth century.
