1960s-Era Hermes Baby Portable QZERTY Typewriter

A Hermes Baby portable manual typewriter, produced by Olivetti in Brazil circa the 1960s. This lightweight portable typewriter has an Italian QZERTY keyboard layout with keys for the letters é, è, ç, à, ì, ù and ò. The typewriter has a red-orange plastic body and includes a matching cover with a carrying handle. The cover plate is marked ‘Hermes Baby’ and the back of the machine is marked ‘Olivetti do Brasil S.A.’
