Antique First Nations Beaded Bandolier Dated 1914

Item Details

An antique First Nations beaded bandolier dated 1914. This piece includes extensive use of hand applied glass beads in scrolling florals, leaves, and images of hands and people joined by the plants on the piece. The bottom has beaded fringe work and applied yarn tassels. The back is finished in a red printed fabric with paisleys and another in a small floral print. The bib has expert beadwork and styling of the subject matter consistent with several Native American groups.

- stitching coming out of backside; slight deterioration, fraying to small areas of fabric
