An offset lithograph titled The Royal Fox Hunter. The work depicts a lavish banquet attended by red-jacketed hunters, the setting an ornately furnished room with gas-lit chandelier, mounted deer heads and bronze figural candleholders. The men are caught at the moment of a toast, with a hound playfully jumping upon its master in the right foreground. The piece is signed to the lower left ‘F.C. Turner, Pinx’ and to the lower right ‘J. Harris Sculp.’ The piece is displayed under glass in a black and gold mat and wood frame. The piece has a label to the verso ‘Colosson Cincinnati.’

Condition

- some scratches to frame; print and backing paper show age and some tears on back; wear consistent with age.
