A vintage embossed bronze scene of the Greek god Artemis, perhaps better known as the Roman god Diana. Diana is known as the goddess of the hunt, nature, women and childbirth and is most often depicted with a bow and sheath of arrows in nature. This depiction shows Diana with her chest bare, a flowing garment around her waist and floating behind her, sitting on a large rock with a hound at her feet. She has one hand on a sheath of arrows on her back and one holding her bow which rests on her knees. The piece is framed in a gold gilt and black wood frame.
