An antique chromolithograph print of a scene by Evert Pieters in an antique frame. This scene by Evert Pieters, a Dutch artist active between 1885 and 1932, depicts a brown-haired woman clad in a yellow dressing gown spoon feeding a baby while a young girl looks on. The scene is set in an interior with light coming through the window, a tile fireplace and table with vase of flowers. The print is housed in an antique wood gold gilt frame. This frame has never been refinished from its original gold gilt paint and features a border of black floral motifs bordered by traditional patterns and molding. The piece is signed ‘E. Pieters’ in plate to the bottom right. Pieters was best known for his landscapes and interiors and showed at multiple exhibitions awarding him with many awards, medals and recognition throughout Belgium, France and eventually the United States.
