An oil painting on canvas. This piece depicts a rural landscape of a field cut through by a tree-lined stream with an empty row boat in the water and a cottage on the left bank. The paint has been applied smoothly in the base layer, with details and objects added in a thicker, textured layer. It is signed illegibly to the lower right corner and presented in a wood frame with a linen liner and wire to the verso for hanging.
