Irwin D. Hoffman Etching "Rodeo"

An etching on paper of a bull fight by listed American artist Irwin D. Hoffman (1901-1989). The print is titled Rodeo and was published by the Associated American Artists in 1934. This intaglio print depicts a crowd of young men surrounding a bull in a fenced in pen. One man rides on the bulls back as another pulls its tail. Two others distract the bull with a swath of cloth to the front. The work is signed in graphite in the lower right. It is presented under glass with a white mat in a gold tone wood frame. There is a hanging wire mounted to the verso.

Condition

Good; edge wear to frame, scratches and nicks to wood, some foxing to mat. There is a discolored spot to the upper center and center left of print.
