An oil painting on canvas of an abstracted portrait by well-listed Cuban artist Felipe Orlando (1911–2001). This work, featuring bold, geometric brushstrokes is rendered in a palette of blue, yellow, green, black, and red. Depicted is the head of a human figure with an angular nose and softly shut eyes. The painting is signed ‘Orlando’ by hand in black paint to the upper left corner. It is housed in a black wooden frame with a metal hanging wire to the verso.

- discoloration; areas of surface abrasion and paint loss; craquelure present; mark to lower right; wear to frame.
