Pastel on paper

A pair of surreal portraits on paper, attributed as being rendered with pastel. These pieces depict a pained face, a mask pulled just under its eyes, and a many-eyed man with his mouth contorted into a frown, all rendered with a palette of pink and brown. The works are mounted together under glass in a gold tone frame with a hanging wire to its verso.

Condition

- fair; glass could be cleaned more thoroughly; light wrinkling; light wear to frame finish; torn paper backing; tape to the upper left of glass; backing paper has been cut.
