An oil painting on board of a village. This Impressionist style painting depicts a mountainous village composed of stone lodges lining a treaded, dirt road. To the foreground, a figure walks past a hut intensely illuminated from the interior, which reveals silhouetted metal workers hammering at an anvil. To the lower right corner of the composition is an artist signature appearing to read ‘Lopez’. The painting is presented in a gold tone wooden frame featuring a burgundy velveteen liner with hanging wire to the verso.
