A pair of Rose Medallion tableware including an antique Chinese porcelain plate and a vintage Japanese porcelain bowl. The pieces feature colorful hand-painted patterns depicting figures, birds, insects, and flowers with scalloped panels in shades of pink, green, and blue. The bowl is marked ‘Japan/Hong Kong’ while the plate is unmarked, which is typical of wares produced before 1891.
Condition
- plate has significant wear to design, stains, discoloration, marks to undersides, chips to rim; bowl has stains to underside.
