Aubrey Ramus Oil Painting on Board of Scottish Landscape
Item Details
An oil painting on board signed by Aubrey Ramus, a pseudonym used by listed English artist Francis E. Jamieson (1895-1950). This piece, painted in large, bold strokes of color, depicts a crystalline stream that clearly reflects the autumn trees on either side of it, and the blue sky above with puffy white clouds. It is signed to the lower right and presented in a wood frame with string to the verso for hanging and a label from the Royal Scottish Academy dated 1944.

- discoloration to varnish; surface wear to frame; scuff marks and dents to frame; warping of piece; torn paper backing.
