A late 20th-century offset lithograph print on paper mounted to textured canvas after a painting by Dutch master Jacob van Ruisdael (1629 – 1682) titled Windmill at Wijk bij Duurstede. The piece depicts a 17th-century coastal Dutch landscape scene, with a seaside windmill set under overcast skies. The unsigned print is presented without glass in a gold tone wooden frame with moulded floral gesso embellishments and black velvet liner, fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- toning and discoloration to image, with stains along left side; wrinkling and warping to paper; surface wear and scratches to print with small areas of image loss; edge wear, chips and nicks to frame.
