An antique Holy Catholic Bible. This Bible is marked to the title page as ‘The Holy Bible containing the Entire Canonical Scriptures’, with annotations and editing by Rev. Dr. Challoner, Rev. Ignatius F. Horstmann, D.D., and Rev. James F. Wood, D.D. The Bible was published by John E. Potter and Company of Philadelphia from circa late 19th century. It is presented in a leather bound cover with a relief gilt depiction to the front and silver tone clasps.

Condition

- front board is detached; missing one clasp; leather shows peeling and red rot; tear near top of spine; edge wear; corner bumping; clasp is detached from front board; missing one metal clasp; scratches and spot staining; page toning.
