Item Details
A silver-plated tea service by Wilcox Silver Plate Co. of Meriden, CT (active 1867-1961). This includes a teapot, a creamer, a waste bowl, and a lidded sugar bowl, all featuring scalloped wells with tapered necks, scrolled rims, scrolled handles with acanthus leaf rests, and curved feet with foliate knees. Each has a personalized engraving of ‘MM’ to one side and is marked to the underside ‘Quadruple Plate Wilcox Silver Plate Co. Meriden, Conn. 5066’. They are presented on an ovate serving tray with scroll-and-shell rim, foliate handles with shell accents, and a personalized engraving of ‘AGA’ to the center of the well.
