Antique Child's Writing Desk and Chair

Item Details

An antique child’s desk and chair. The slant front desk features a slate insert to the writing surface, shelf cubbies above a single drawer with a porcelain knob resting on a trestle base joined by dowel stretchers. The restored antique chair has a scalloped crest rail with a drilled hole and perforated bent back extending to the seat spelling out ‘BABY’ and secured with brass tacks to the walnut chair. The chair rests on turned front legs and straight back legs joined by dowel stretchers. There are no visible maker’s marks.
