An East Asian-style carved wood mask. The mask depicts a scowling male with a mustache and beard, wearing a headpiece that is embellished with a guard dog figure and other motifs. There is an applied hanging grommet on the reverse. No maker’s marks.

- to Fair; surface wear throughout, and particularly to finish of headdress; hanging device is taped to verso with tape residue
