1939-1940 New York World's Fair Toby Mug and Silver Plate Spoons
Item Details
A collection of items commemorating the 1939-1940 New York World’s Fair. Featured is a set of six silver plate spoons with stepped Art Deco handles. They are marked ‘1939 Theme Building New York World’s Fair’ to the front and ‘Pat. Pend. Wm Rogers Mfg. Co’ to the reverse. Also included is a George Washington Toby mug with a cream glaze by The American Potter. The underside is embossed ‘The American Potter N.Y. World Fair 1940’.
Condition
- minor surface wear to spoons including scratches and minimal tarnish; there is surface wear and a chip to the base of the mug.
