Antique Ogee Mantel Clock

Item Details

An antique ogee mantel clock. The rectangular case is covered in mahogany veneer. It features a two panel glass front door. The reverse painted upper panel is the face of the clock. It has black Roman numerals, fancy hands, and decorative floral motifs in the spandrels. The center of the face is transparent to show the brass works. The lower panel is also decorated. There is a reverse painted image of an eagle holding olive branches and a quiver of arrows inits talons. The eagle is surrounded by a border of fruiting vines.
