Pair of Asian Wall Pillars

Item Details

A pair of Asian wall pillars. The two wood pieces painted red feature columns of incised black Asian script. The verso of each piece is affixed with a label that reads ‘Emblem of nobility, the gold official seal with a purple ribbon decorates the person of high moral character; Studious and unassuming, this person practices the Poetry and the Rites to revive the family’s glory.’ At one end of each pillar is a metal hook for attaching to the wall.
