A contemporary reproduction figure created to resemble an antique Chinese bodhisattva stone sculpture, similar in style to those produced in the Northern Qi and Northern Zhou dynasties of the 6th century. The work, rendered in a mottled brown stone or resin, depicts the top half of a figure wearing layered robes, a beaded necklace and ornate crown, depicted with arms bent. The piece is mounted to an unmarked square plinth with two metal rods.
