Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Malayer wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a palette of mocha, sand, coral, sepia, salmon, sage, and cobalt. The mocha colored field begins with a central medallion with large pendants of radiating floral motifs, and also features animal motifs and coordinating spandrels. Framing the field is a main chained florette patterned border with a pair of chained guard borders. Finishing the rug are overcast selvedges and an ivory warp fringe to the ends, as well as a label to the underside.
