A hand-knotted Persian Kashan style area rug. This wool carpet features a color scheme of ivory, icy blue, coffee brown, burnt orange, cornflower blue, and goldenrod . This rug has a scalloped diamond shaped medallion on an oval shaped lozenge patterned with Shah Abbasi palmettes, lancet leaves, and curling vines. It is framed by herati motif, carnation meander and sawtooth borders. Finished with overcast selvedges and fringe to either end. Marked to verso’Made in Iran’.
