Item Details
A contemporary watercolor painting on paper by listed Maine artist Carol Shupp Sebold (1939 – 2010). The piece depicts the historic Curtis Island Lighthouse off the coast of Camden, Maine, surrounded by blue waters and a dense forest of evergreens. The work is signed ‘C. Sebold’ in black ink to the lower right. It is double-matted in pale grey and dark teal with an oval visual field, and presented under glass in a silver tone metal frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso. The frame backing includes artist and title information.
Condition
- slight toning to paper; scratches and minor wear to frame; loose frame joints to lower right.
