A color lithograph on paper after Frederic Sackrider Remington (1861-1909) titled A Sioux Chief. This work depicts a Native American chief wearing a feathered headdress and riding a horse. This work is signed in plate to the lower right and titled in print below the image. This work is presented behind glass in a wood frame. Hanging hardware is present to the verso.
Remington was an American painter, illustrator, writer, and sculptor who specialized in depicting the Old American West. He concentrated on the last quarter of the 19th century American West and created images of cowboys, American Indians, and cavalry.

- scratches to frame; glass could be cleaned more thoroughly; paper backing has been removed.
