A circa 1930s Paris Etching Society color etching on paper titled Old Port by listed artist Lucien Dasselborne (1873 – 1952). The piece depicts a rainy French street surrounded by quaint red-roofed buildings and trees with fiery autumn leaves. The work is signed in graphite to the lower right, initialed in plate to the lower left and noted with a Sydney Z. Lucas ‘SZL’ marking to the lower right, denoting the print as a Paris Etching Society work. It is matted in off-white and presented under glass in a black and gold tone wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso. The frame backing includes a label with artist, medium and title information, as well as a mid-century gallery sticker from Turner Art Gallery of Denver.

- to fair; toning, mat burn and discoloration to print and matting; dirt and accretion under glass; edge wear, nicks and scratching to frame; tears to frame’s backing paper.
