A Sioux Pottery planter bowl by High Elk. This ceramic planter bowl features a small round opening, a matte turquoise glaze to the top with hand etched Sioux tribe symbols representing the ‘Papa Sapa’ Black Hills mountains that allow the natural terracotta hues to accent the turquoise sky. Planter bowl has a deep turquoise band of color with terracotta base. Piece is signed to the underside, ‘High Elk-Sioux’. High Elk is a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux tribe and has been with Sioux Pottery since 1989.
