Vintage Chinese Carved Camphor Chest

A vintage Chinese carved camphor chest. This carved chest, fitted on the front with a brass lock plate lock, is carved on five sides with vignettes of ancient Chinese life and rests on C scroll bracket feet carved with peach blossoms. No apparent maker’s mark.

Condition

- minor rubs, marks, scuffs and scratches overall; crack in top above hinge; a chip with a protruding nail head is front and center.
