A contemporary oil painting on canvas by artist Gomela. The piece depicts a portrait of seven abstract figures standing in a horizontal row, wearing traditional Maasai attire, four carrying infants and bearing sticks or vessels. The work is signed in paint to the lower right. It is presented without glass in a black wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- bubbling to canvas along top edge; edge wear, nicks and scratching to frame; canvas is somewhat loose inside frame; no backing paper present.
