A signed limited edition offset lithograph after the original 1990 painting by listed artist Dale Benedict (Indiana; 1932 – 2002), titled The Delta Queen Versus the Belle of Louisville: “Tall Stacks”… October 16, 1988. The image depicts the two famous riverboats chugging along the Ohio River in between Covington, Kentucky and Cincinnati, Ohio, neck-in-neck during a friendly race, as hundreds of onlookers observe from the John Roebling Bridge overhead. Artist signature and date are printed in plate to the lower right. The print is numbered 807 in an edition of 1500 and hand-signed by the artist in pencil to the lower margin. Title is printed to lower center margin. The print is mounted behind dark blue and pale powder blue double mat, under glass in a beveled wood frame with a cherry stained finish and a black interior trim. A hanging wire is attached to the verso.
