A Victorian style mahogany entertainment chest. The chest is a companion piece to the king bed in listing #089, as well as the chests and récamier chaise/ bench in other listings in this sale. The chest has a wood top with beveled edge, two half-width open compartments with wire management openings to the backs, and three lower paneled drawers designed in a divided fashion with dark brass floral pulls and dimensional floral medallions to the center panels. The chest has round corner columns with recessed centers, an ornate scrollwork base apron with center seashell accent and round feet with acanthus leaf caps and rectangular block details. The chest has flat panel sides.
