An oil painting on canvas of a pastoral landscape by listed artist Edgar Nye (1879 – 1943). This Post-Impressionist style painting depicts a rolling, lush hillside with a lone lodge featuring a red roof to the distance. The composition is rendered with truncated brush strokes layered on top of one another in a manner reminiscent of Vincent Van Gogh. To the lower right corner of the composition is a painted artist signature. The painting is presented in a gold tone wooden frame with hanging wire and a handwritten tag to the verso.

- would benefit from cleaning; frame has surface wear, chip and dents; frame has been heavily spray painted.
