Henry Ravel Oil Painting on Canvas Board Coastal Scene
An oil painting on canvas board of a coastal scene by listed American artist Henry Ravel, alternatively spelled “Ravell” (1864 – 1930). This loosely rendered painting depicts an expansive body of water bordered by mountains and figures in small, wooden rowboats. The painting is signed “H. Ravel” by hand to the lower left corner. It is housed in a gold tone wood and gesso frame with beaded molding and a metal hanging wire to the verso.
