A watercolor painting on paper of a landscape by listed artist Benjamin Tupper Newman (1858 – 1940). This Impressionist style painting depicts a treaded dirt trail cutting through a grassy field lined by a wooden picketed fence and a large tree hanging overhead. To the lower left corner of the composition is a painted artist signature, dated 1901. The painting is presented under glass beneath a gold tone mat in a gold tone wooden frame.

- edge wear to frame, mainly to the corners.
