Needlepoint of Greco-Roman Style Chariot, Figures, and Horses
Item Details
A needlepoint composition. This hand-stitched work depicts three figures wearing laurel-leaf crowns and tending to three horses hooked up to a chariot, all surrounded with a border of floral design. The work is in the style of Classical Greco-Roman painting and is unsigned. It is presented in a gold tone wood frame with wire to the verso for hanging.
Condition
- some wear around the edges of the frame; slight bowing to the surface of the item; some rips and wear to protective backing.
