Item Details
A gouache painting on paper of a street corner. This Expressionist style painting depicts a loose, gestural layering of blue, yellow, gray and red pigment, which is reinforced by thin black marks to render a crowd of people gathered before street storefronts. To the lower right corner of the composition is an artist signature that has been obscured by a tear. The painting is presented under glass beneath matting in a silver tone wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.

- small tear to the lower right; worn frame finish; glass could be cleaned more thoroughly; light staining; discoloration of paper ground.
