An offset lithograph on paper after listed artist Bernard Buffet (1928 – 1999), titled Bords de Marne. This print depicts a gestural, sketched rendering of boats docked at a sloped pier, which leads into a well-tended townscape featuring multistory buildings, slender trees and a bridge. To the top left corner of the composition is an in-plate artist signature, dated 1955. The print is presented under glass beneath matting in a stained wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- glass could be cleaned more thoroughly; light wear to frame finish; minor stain to the lower left.
