Rug Gallery Hand-Knotted and Carved Indian Wool Area Rug

A hand-knotted carved wool area rug from India. The wool rug features a central floral medallion with blue, pink, rust, brown and gold flowers with green hued foliage on a cream field surrounded by corner spandrels in the same colors. The wool has been carved along the design lines for a textural appearance. The rug is finished with a natural cotton warp fringe. A label to the reverse indicates it was purchased from The Rug Gallery in Cincinnati. It lists the country of origin as India and the fiber content as wool.
