Classical Oil on Canvas with Standing Nude

Painted in oil on canvas circa 1900, this study features a young woman facing away from the artist, leaning on a drapery covered stand. Clearly the work of a skilled hand, the lighting is subtle and the proportions are pleasing and natural. From a very fine Chicago estate, it is said to be the work of a Chicago artist, but is apparently unsigned. It remains unframed and measures 22 inches by 33 inches.
